On Tuesday, 8 July 2025, a Domestic Violence Advocacy Talk was organised by Sabahebat Sdn Bhd Membakut in collaboration with Sabah Women's Affairs Department (JHEWA) . The programme was held from 12.30 pm to 4 pm at Eco-Lake Resort Hall, Membakut.
Nearly 80 Sabahebat Sdn Bhd estate workers attended. JHEWA was represented by Dg Affifah Fatiah binti Awang Nohin, Assistant Director of the Advisory Services and Women's Legal Aid Centre Division (PBGW), accompanied by speaker Puan Nor Azah Abd Rahman and secretariat member Cik Marianah Muhamad Noor.
The programme ran smoothly with lively participation. It began with a talk, followed by a quiz and a question-and-answer session. Participants showed active involvement and strong interest throughout.
It is hoped that future programmes will involve a wider range of external agencies and strengthen public awareness of domestic violence. Such efforts provide meaningful information and a supportive environment for women and the wider community, helping advance social wellbeing and more inclusive human development.
