Kota Kinabalu, 14 July 2025 — Forty entrepreneurs supported by the Women's Affairs Department (JHEWA) showcased their strengths and creativity at the two-day Jom Fiesta & Masak programme at Riverson The Walk, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, on 12 and 13 July 2025.
Held from 10 am to 8 pm, the programme aimed to provide meaningful experience and encourage entrepreneurs to succeed in business. It also offered a platform to introduce and promote JHEWA entrepreneurs' products to local visitors and tourists.
Visitors watched cooking demonstrations, sampled food and craft products, and interacted directly with entrepreneurs offering everything from traditional foods and creative cakes to distinctive handicrafts.
JHEWA said the programme formed part of its efforts to empower women entrepreneurs by providing opportunities to grow and become more widely known. 'JHEWA hopes the event will help entrepreneurs improve their skills, expand their business networks and increase their incomes,' it said.
JHEWA also congratulates all participating entrepreneurs on successfully making use of this opportunity.
The Jom Fiesta & Masak programme is expected to provide an ongoing platform for women's entrepreneurship in Sabah and strengthen the local economy.
