Kota Kinabalu, 4 July 2025 — The Sabah Women's Affairs Department (JHEWA) successfully held its Women Entrepreneurs' Personal Development and Excellent Customer Service Programme at Wisma Wanita, Kota Kinabalu, over three days from 1 to 3 July.
The programme aimed to help women entrepreneurs build confidence, improve communication and master high-quality customer service. It received a warm response from entrepreneurs from various districts across Sabah. Interactive and practical training enabled participants to learn skills they could apply directly in their businesses.
Activities included effective communication training, excellent customer service exercises and inspiring experience-sharing sessions. Participants also completed practical training to prepare them for real business challenges.
In her closing remarks, JHEWA Director Puan Haslina Ismail said the programme achieved its objectives of empowering women entrepreneurs and improving their customer service. 'We hope the knowledge gained will support business growth and improve customer satisfaction,' she said.
Participants gave positive feedback, reporting greater confidence and knowledge in managing businesses and interacting with customers. The organisers plan similar programmes to continue supporting women's entrepreneurship in Sabah.
